Another Igbo Billionaire From Anambra Set To Launch Airline (Photos)

Billionaire businessman and Chief Executive of the Dome, Abuja, Dr Obiorah Okonkwo is set to float an aviation company called United Nigeria Airlines in the country.

 

Born on December 5, 1965 in Gombe, North East Nigeria, Dr Okonkwo is a Russian-trained Political Scientist and accomplished entrepreneur from Ogidi, Anambra State. He chairs the boards of a good number of companies including The Dome Entertainment and Hospitality Limited, Solicom Engineers Limited, Private Airline Services Limited and others.

The Dome with headquarters in Abuja is the umbrella organisation comprising The Summit Restaurant and Lounge, The Camelot Spa, The Bodytrust Health and Fitness Bar, The Bowling Alley, Twins Cafe and Bakery, Francis Hotel and lots more.

Dr Obiora is a devout Catholic. This is evident in the name of his two aircraft known as Our Mother Mary of Miracle and Blessed Iwene Tansi (a beatified Nigerian Catholic Saint).

The airline take-off  is being delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world. However, when fully launched will go a long way in rendering quality and professional aviation services to commuters all over the country.

This is a very welcomed development that greatly help this country with effective and healthy competition.
